7 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY WHILE WORKING FROM HOME

1. Have a schedule: A lot of times it is so easy to slip into housework, home tasks or stuff around the house because there is no one watching. Also, the absence of pressure or strict deadlines, makes it feel OK not to have a schedule. However, making your own schedule and following it might be the only discipline you might need for increasing your productivity.

2
Dress up for work: Although it might be easier and more comfortable to work in PJs the whole day, it has been seen that actually getting ready before you start work increases productivity. You may also decide to do your own Friday PJ days!! 😂😂

3Keep a dedicated office space: Make sure that you have a special area for work - home office. This should be an area that is a designated work area and that has your work-related space, documents, computers, and equipment. It is very easy to get mixed up with your personal paperwork and computers but if it does, it makes it all the more difficult to be efficient at work. Hence if you dedicate a desk and some peripherals only for work, it will save you a lot of dismay in the long run.

4.  Outline your tasks for the day: If you can figure out exactly how your day is going to look like or the tasks that you must establish today before the day ends. This will help you to be more productive and validate your actions. Otherwise, at the end of the day, you might end up wondering what did I do today?

5. Manage your environment: As you’re working from home the seriousness may be taken for granted by people around you. Hence it is vital that you have fixed “office hours”. Make sure that people around you are aware through your actions that you have a fixed schedule to follow and deadlines to meet. On the other hand, also see to it that you are not over exhausting yourself by working more hours than you should. There are people who have been putting in more hours because now they’re working from home and hence the desk, computer and resources are always available at home.

6. Pay attention to your health: Make sure that your body is getting the food, fluids and exercises during the day. This includes stretching during the day, having a super adaptable and ergonomically designed workspace and enough breaks for food and fluid intake.

7. Buddy up: Maybe the idea of working from home is very exciting as you don’t have to worry about travel or the weather; however, it could get quite lonely at times. Make sure that you buddy up from people at work or even your friends to connect socially from time to time. Social connections are what keeps the mind sane and hence are the key to being productive.
