7 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY WHILE WORKING FROM HOME
1. Have a schedule: A lot of times it is so easy to slip into housework, home tasks or stuff around the house because there is no one watching. Also, the absence of pressure or strict deadlines, makes it feel OK not to have a schedule. However, making your own schedule and following it might be the only discipline you might need for increasing your productivity.
2. Dress up for work: Although it might be easier and more comfortable to work in PJs the whole day, it has been seen that actually getting ready before you start work increases productivity. You may also decide to do your own Friday PJ days!! 😂😂
3. Keep a dedicated office space: Make sure that you have a special area for work - home office. This should be an area that is a designated work area and that has your work-related space, documents, computers, and equipment. It is very easy to get mixed up with your personal paperwork and computers but if it does, it makes it all the more difficult to be efficient at work. Hence if you dedicate a desk and some peripherals only for work, it will save you a lot of dismay in the long run.
6. Pay attention to your health: Make sure that your body is getting the food, fluids and exercises during the day. This includes stretching during the day, having a super adaptable and ergonomically designed workspace and enough breaks for food and fluid intake.
7. Buddy up: Maybe the idea of working from home is very exciting as you don’t have to worry about travel or the weather; however, it could get quite lonely at times. Make sure that you buddy up from people at work or even your friends to connect socially from time to time. Social connections are what keeps the mind sane and hence are the key to being productive.
